Easy Crochet Bottle Carrier

Looking for an easy and functional crochet project to get started with? Try making this bottle carrier. It’s perfect for a small gift or even daily use.

Level: beginner

Materials:

• Macrame yarn
• 6 mm crochet hook
• Darning needle
• Scissors

Stitches and Abbreviations:

• Sc = single crochet
• Blo sc = back loop only single crochet
• Sl st = slip stitch
• St = stitch
• Ch = chain
• Dc = double crochet

For this project we are going to work in the round
Start with a magic ring
Round 1: sc 6 to the magic ring, tighten, sl st to the first single crochet (6)

Round 2: 2sc to the next st, 2sc to each st, sl st to the first sc (12)
Round 3: 2sc to the next st, sc, [rep 5 times], sl st to the first sc (18)
Round 4: 2sc to the next st, sc to the next 2 st, [rep 5 times], sl st to the first sc (24)

Round 5: blo sc 24 to each st, sl st to the first sc (24). Note: this is where it starts to curve up
Round 6 – 8: sc 24, sl st to the first sc (24)

Round 9 – 12: blo sc, ch2 skip 2 st, [rep 7 times], blo sc to the first sc (24)

Round 12 – 15: ch4, skip2 st, blo dc, ch2 skip 2 st, [rep 5 times], blo dc, ch2, sl st to the 3rd ch (24)
Round 16: sc 24 (24)
Strap: Single crochet on top of each other vertically until you reached the desired length and join together to the top base
